Orangeries Belvedere


The Baroque palace was built between 1724 and 1732 by Johann August Richter and Gottfried Heinrich Krohne as residence for Duke Ernst August of Saxe-Weimar. The dominating central section is flanked by two symmetrical pavilions.
Parallel to the building of the summer residence for Duke Ernst August, a prestigious Baroque garden was laid out between 1728 and 1748, with the Orangery buildings added between 1739 and 1753. View over Weimar. Tip: Carriage drive to the palace through the tree-lined Belvederer Allee.

The KunstTurm Weimar provides a unique experience in an individual event location in a class of its own. Events in an unusual setting can be held on four levels, each measuring about 50 sqm. The lavishly restored former water tower provides room for up to 250 people.

Night watchman guided walk
